The interesting thing is, this is supposed to represent real life, unretouched version of the couple that became Die Antwoord. Yolandi before she uglied herself up. Perhaps a public persona adopted for show biz is automatically less pretentious because it makes no claim to be real; to be anything other than an act?

These people are too cool for me. I'm going to have to wash my eyes after seeing this much pretense in a family portrait.
