The equation "dislikes=fears" requires more proof than indicated here...Although the introduction in my local ice-cream parlor of Szechwan pepper ice cream may be just the thing. As with most behavioral "studies" the conclusion to the second part of the study -- that you can accustom people to new tastes by introducing those tastes to them in familiar dishes -- seems almost impossible to argue with.
