French actress. Not irritating.
Audrey Fleurot, key "personage" on the engrossing French crime series "Engrenages." The title has been translated "Spiral" but more literally means "gears" or "cogs," a mechanism you could get caught up in. Resulting, presumably, in engrenagisment.

What of this series have you seen?
First four of eight.
Do you have to start at the beginning, or only with the best ones? What are the best ones?
I started at the beginning because that is what one does with stories.
Seriously: Doubt you'd be able to make heads or tails of it if you didn't start at the beginning. Why on earth wouldn't you, BTW?
Are you talking about eight series of programs? Somewhere at 100 hours or more?
If I can't get to the really good stuff without watching twenty or thirty hours of learning curve, I'd rather read Proust.
Three series of eight episodes each. I've watched the first 4 "eps" (as we TV pros say) of series 1, and am well hooked.
Plus Audrey's in every episode. Plenty good enough reason to watch them all. Twice.
That's much better....
