Heaviness as such has never been a major selling point, for me. Especially because with heaviness, too often, comes ponderous self-importance.
It's hard to describe Converge as much of anything other than loud and fast. I think that's the appeal.
That this is even being discussed here on HG makes me smile.
I'm trying to find a way to make a brief excerpt from this into a ringtone.

For me a clear case of something that's way more fun to talk about than experience. Not unlike Jess Franco movies.
The lack of Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Pantera begs the question.
